Academic track assistant/associate/full professors

The Zhejiang University - University of Edinburgh (ZJE) Institute seeks to recruit outstanding assistant/associate/full professors to join a dynamic team developing innovative teaching and research in Biomedical Sciences.


The ZJE Institute, established by two world-leading universities at the new International Campus in Haining, provides state of the art research and teaching facilities, as well as extremely competitive start-up packages and salaries. Applicants must be able to demonstrate their potential to develop as independent research investigators, as evidenced by publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals and the ability to attract external research funding or already have a track record of success in research.  Post-holders will also have a passion for research-led teaching and the abilities to be influential and innovative educators developing and delivering teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels for the next generation of Biomedical scientists.


We particularly welcome applications from individuals with expertise in the major research themes of the ZJE Institute: Regenerative Medicine & Stem Cells, Inflammation & immunology and Infection & Molecular Medicine, Neuroscience, Cancer & Oncology


The post requires a degree and a PhD in a relevant Biomedical Sciences subject with a high command of both spoken and written English.


The post will be located at the ZJE Institute in Haining and the contract of employment will be held with Zhejiang University. Academic track are for five years in the first instance. Subject to a satisfactory formal review at the end of year three it is intended that the post-holder will then move to an academic open-ended contract at the end of year five.
