On March 16, 2026, local time in Switzerland, the results of the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva were announced. Both projects presented by Professor Zhou Min's team from the ZJU-UoE Institute (ZJE) received awards, including one Gold Medal and one Silver Medal.The Microalgae Medicinal and Edible Products for Gastrointestinal Care and Treatment project, developed by Professor Zhou Min's team based on nano-spirulina and the concept of medicinal and edible homology, won the Gold Medal. The awardees are: Professor Zhou Min (ZJE), Ye Jiahui (PhD student, Zhejiang University), and Jiang Yicheng (Team Member, Zhou Min Group).Meanwhile, the team's Spirulina Probiotics - A New Generation of Health Management Technology project secured the Silver Medal. The awardees are: Professor Zhou Min (ZJE), Lin Donghu (PhD student, ZJE), Yu Qian (Postdoctoral Fellow, ZJE), and Wang Jiayi (Undergraduate student, ZJE）
